Businesses can purchase renewable energy credits to offset any dirty fuels they may be using in the process of doing business. For instance, power generation plants or retail electric providers can use REC’s to offset the electricity service they sell so that it is considered clean energy. Currently in the state of QLD there are 7 Hydro facilities selling this type of REC. These renewable energy credits are Registered and in good standing with the state of QLD.

Currently in the state of NSW there are 27 S.G.U. – Wind (Deemed) facilities selling this type of REC. These renewable energy credits are Registered and in good standing with the state of NSW.
